Suit Dreams founder, Jerrell Horton is focused on helping young men in inner-city communities reach their dreams by providing much needed mentorship and tools for success. A key component to what the organization aims to do is gifting tailored suits to senior high school students.
He is not limiting his organization to just New York and Chicago, but is setting sights on expanding Suit Dreams to every metropolitan city in the nation in the future.
April 5, Suit Dreams will host its fourth annual professional wear drive at The Griffin in New York. Admission is free to guests who bring professional clothing as a donation. Donations requested include: lightly worn suits, shirts, shoes, and accessories. To RSVP and get tickets, click the following link: http://4followsuit.splashthat.com. They ask guests to come in “business chic attire” for the event.
Suit Dreams’ efforts have been profiled in Essence magazine for its work with young men in the community. If you would like to donate or volunteer, please contact Jerrell Horton at jerrel.a.horton@gmail.com.
